2024-2025 Housing Application News!
The 2024-2025 housing application is open to new first-year and transfer students!
On the first of each month, all students who applied the previous month will be randomly placed in line for room selection. Therefore, all students who complete the application in will be randomized on May 1. Students will receive their room selection number during the first week of the month and their room selection date and time in May.

It's great to be a Hawkeye! Welcome to University Housing and Dining (UHD) at the University of Iowa. We are excited that you have chosen to live in the residence halls! This online portal is where you can submit your housing application, review communication from University Housing and Dining, explore our many living options, and view your roommate information, too! Begin your Hawkeye experience by logging in and clicking the 'Housing Application' tab in the menu bar.
A Note to Parents:
Welcome to University Housing and Dining! We look forward to your student participating in the many opportunities available in the residence halls and across campus.
If your student has asked for your assistance with housing, we suggest providing guidance through the process, but it is important that your student be the one clicking through the screens and making the final submission. These actions occur with their University credentials - the HawkID and password - therefore, they must be the one who completes the application. If your student is under 18 years old, there will be a screen requesting your digital signature during the application process.
